Southsea Storytellers is a writers’ collective based in Southsea, Hampshire, on the south coast of England.
For over two years, we got together regularly in a variety of locations around Southsea to drink coffee, share ideas, egg each other on, write and publish three collections of our work to date: ‘Southsea Soup’ (2018), ‘Of Life and Love’ (2019) and ‘Of Flights and Fancies’ (2020).
Despite cafe closures, hell in the form of a global pandemic, and high water (well, not so much ‘high’ as falling all over the place) which put a stop to our socially distanced beach get togethers, we are still beavering away in our own little individual cells in the virtual beehive of literary production.
So do not despair! We are still here, and will continue to wave the flag of mixed metaphors, miscellaneous stories, true and somewhat dubious, poetic and prosaic, and all stages in between.
